QuestionWe have a rainbird ESP-6TM sprinkler timer. The power source is working fine, but the timer itself will not go on. I opened the bottom control panel and noticed little switches, but have no idea of their function. I also wiggled wires to see if there was a bad connection and found one white wire to be disconnected, but don't know where its supposed to go. Please help! Cindy Porton
AnswerHey Cindy, I hope this helps. I would assume that the white wire is your common wire. If this is not hooked up, then none of the valves will operate. Look for a terminal marked C for common, and see if there is any wires hooked to it. If there are no wires hooked to it, try hooking the white wire to C terminal. When you say the timer will not go on, do you mean the valves will not go on, or is there nothing on the timer? Are you getting a display on the timer? If you're not getting a display, try taking out the battery and disconnecting the power for about a minute, and then turn the power back on. There is also a fuse behind the panel that you might want to check and make sure it's still okay. Let me know the answers to the questions above, so I can know a little more. Thanks and have a great day.
