hi jeff, my well is pumping 100-110 psi to my sch40 pvc 1 1/4".  id like to bring this down to 40-50 psi. what is the best device to accomplish this? brass water regulator? pvc water regulator? some device ive never heard of?  thanks!

If you have a pressure system with a tank, there should be a pressure switch that controls the pressure.  If it pumps directly into the system, it could be a little tricky.  You dont want to damage the pump, which is possible by simply installing a device that reduces pressure to the irrigation system.  Since you need a considerable reduction in pressure, you may want to consult a pump dealer about whether or not you can reduce the pressure, or need to install a pressure system to regulate it.
