Question
I have a Hardie 6100 controller. This spring when I set the program all 5 zones work but when I put the system on automatic only the 1st zone goes on and won't shut off. If I program to skip the 1st zone and start with zone 2, that zone will go on at the desired time but won't shut off either. The power went off and the battery was dead so the system was off before I used it this spring, but that is the only thing that might have caused the problem. I put in a new battery, but since I am also using electric power I suspect that has nothing to do with the problem.

Hey Steve I hope this helps. It sounds like you probably need a new controller. What I would try before you replace it, is to de-energize it. To do this simply pull the battery out of the controller, and then disconnect the power to the controller for about 30 seconds or more. Then re-connect the power and re-program the controller and see if it works any better. Do all of this but don't install the battery until you test it first. If it works okay, then install the battery. Good luck and have a great day.
