QuestionQUESTION: I noticed that one of the lines in my sprinkler system seems to have lost pressure. All the other lines work fine and this line worked fine in prior years. Water comes out of the heads but just a little bit so it dribbles down in the one spot...
ANSWER: Dear Diane, I hope this helps. 99% of the time, the reason this zone has little pressure, is because the diaphram in the valve has gone bad. This diaphram can be replaced fairly easily, depending on the type of valve you have. Good luck and let me know if I can be of anymore help. Have a great day.

QUESTION: Well, I'll be thrilled if its a simple fix...I immediately thought one of the pipes underground might be cracked! Could you tell me where I'll find the diaphram? Since the system was in when we got here, all my knowledge is in the sprinkler end of things... Thanks
AnswerHey Diane, it could be a break in a line, but you would see a lot of water coming up from the ground in one area. You didn't indicate this to me, so I'm assuming the problem is in the valve. First I'm also assuming when you say lines, you mean different zones that run on the sprinkler controller, is this correct? It sounds like all the other zones(valves) work fine, excepot for this zone, is this correct? Assuming what you're telling me is all correct, each individual valve has a diaphram. First you need to find where your valves are at. Normally they would be in a box in the ground somewhere. Once you find the valves, the diaphram can be replaced by taking the screws out from the top of the valve and the diaphram is a rubber piece that fits inside the valve. You must match the diaphram with the exact brand of valve and also the model of the valve. Any irrigation supply store should be able to help you. Thanks and have a great day.
