QuestionI have a RainJet (RJC Six) timer for my irrigation system. Today for no apparent reason it is flashing a code AO 22 and will not function. Does anyone know what that code indicates and how do I fix the timer?
Thank you.

AnswerHey Christopher, I hope this helps. To be honest with you, I'm not familiar with this particular controller. This would be more of a "home depot special" controller , and actually I've never heard of a controller giving out codes. Here's what I would try first. See if the controller has a back-up battery in it, and take the battery or batteries out. Then disconnect the power source to the controller for at least 30 seconds. Then hook the power back up to the unit. Now see what it says and try to re-program it. All this time leave the batteries out. If it programs okay, start running through the valves, and turning them on manually. Sometimes if there is a short in the wires, or a short in a solenoid, as soon as you try turning that bad valve on, it will start flashing, indicating a short, or bad solenoid. Sometimes the controllers will do weird things if the batteries are weak. Once everything checks out, then you can replace the battery(batteries). If after you disconnect the power, and power it back up, and the display is still messed up, you probably need to replace the controller. I hope this has helped you. Thanks and let me know if I can be of anymore help, have a great day.
