Low water pressure on 1 station of 6

Question
Jim, I have low pressure on one station of 6. What would cause this on just one station?

Answer
Hey Rick, I hope this helps. 99% of the time it's going to be your diaphram. To do a quick check, on most valves, there is a small bleed screw. When you unscrew this bleed screw, the valve will open manually without the controller on. Most the time, on a good valve, you barely need to open this bleed screw, and the valve will go on. Normally if the diaphram is bad in the valve, when you open the bleed screw, # 1 the valve does not open at all, or #2 you have to open the bleed screw almost all the way out to get the valve to turn on. Another possible way to check if it's the diaphram, is to unscrew the solenoid totally out of the valve. First make sure the main valve to the system is shut off, then un-screw the solenoid out of the valve(counter clockwise), then turn the water back on, you should have a steady stream of water out of the solenoid port, and the valve should turn on. The only other thing is if there is a break in the lines going to the heads, or a head broken off, or too many heads on one valve, but I'm assuming it has worked good in the past. And you would see alot of water if there was a break in the lines. I hope this helps. Thanks and have a great day.
