We are researching ways to utilize water from a retention pond to irrigate surrounding areas.  Do you have suggestions or experience with this type of project or resources you could refer?  Or examples of existing successful projects?

Answer
You will need a pump, and a good filtration device in the design of your system.  Also, you will need to know the output of the pump, so the the demand of the system does not exceed the pump capacity.  Check out this website, it has a lot of good information.
