QuestionMatt--I have a rainbird 5000 sprinkler head that will not turn. The water
pressure is fine and I can manually turn it, but it will not rotate automatically.
Does it need to be replaced or is there something else I can do to fix it? Thanks
much.
AnswerJohn,
You can try a simple trick. Sometimes it help other not. Try tapping on the cap while it's running with a screw driver handle or something like that. You don't beat it to death, just a few taps.
If it a particle of dirt is in the gears it may get it running again. If not replace the sprinkler.
