QuestionQUESTION: I would like to irrigate a 100m by 100m area using a hand pump and a well can you suggest how i can design the tanks especially how i can ensure that there is enough pressure to use sprinklers.
ANSWER: Im not sure what you mean by hand pump. Are you going to manually pump water into a tank and then use gravity pressure to run the irrigation system? This would be a real trick, and I have not seen it done. But anything is possible.

QUESTION: thank you so much. Yes by hand pump i mean that i will be manually pumping the water into a tank then use gravity to create pressure such that i can irrigate. is there any way that you can suggest that i can use to make this more efficient
AnswerSprinklers need pressure to operate. The least I am aware of is about 15PSI. They also need a certain flow rate (GPM). You would have to have a lot of head in your system in order to use even the lowest pressure sprinklers. If you have a lot of elevation difference between the tank and the system, it may be possible to design the system to use sprinklers, but chances are you would only be able to run 1 at a time. You would also have to use large pipefrom the tank to the heads in order to maintain flow and pressure.
