Question
Whenever our automatic sprinklers go on (hillside), one of the top hillside sprinklers, about 2 feet away from ours, leaks from the head connector of the sprinkler (impact type), while ours are running.  Is it possible they are tapped into our water line?

I suppose anything is possible, but I doubt the sprinklers are connected together. If they were connected the sprinkler wouldn't just leak water it would run at full flow.  Does the sprinkler run when their system is operating? That would indicate they are supplying the water to it.
I'm not sure how to explain why your seeing the neighbors sprinkler running while your is.
