QuestionLast week I got a new deep well water for irrigation. It is 97 feet deep, a sta-rite 1 HP pump was installed in the garage with 2 gallons tank. 2 faucets were installed. My problem is low pressure, I have just 4 GPM pressure. The person that installed it said that is hard to know how much pressure you can get and everything is normal for my area (zip code 23320). He said there is not remedy unless he builds a 2nd well.
I dont know anything about wells but I thought for a new well the pressure should be much higher.
Is he telling the truth?
The water level (according to a US geological website) is 80 feet. Well is 97 feet.
Thanks in advance
AnswerIt does seem a bit "light" for a new well. However, 97' is a long way down. Did he mention a "jet pump" or "deep well jet". This would give me some information about the well and pump. If you could get a model # from the pump, it would be very helpful also.
Even a picture of the pump will probably tell me what I need to know.
