QuestionI was in the process of relocating three out of five sprinkler zones in the back of my house. After the line and sprinkler heads were reconnected I would test the zone to make sure it had no leaks but when tested the 3rd zone I noticed a pool of water in one spot. I checked the pipe and it was cracked so I replaced it but now none of my sprinlker zones go on? Could the backflow device be the problem or my pump? Please help.
AnswerHi Robert
Where does the pump draw water from? If the pump pulls water from a pond or lake and it's not plumbed as a booster pump from a potable source, then check the suction line for leaks and ensure the pump is properly primed. You may also want to check the foot valve and basket to ensure they are clear of debris. Check the main line valves to ensure they are all open.
Let me know if this helps. I'd be happy to help with any updated information.
