QuestionI have a Richdel battery operated timer for my sprinkling system. It requires a 9-volt battery to run. I noticed a few days ago that the clock on the timer wasn't working, and so I attempted to replace the battery. The clock would come on when I would just touch the battery connectors, but not when I would put the battery fully in place. Any guesses as to what's going on?
Thanks!
AnswerMy guess is that there is some loose connection in the transfer of the power from the battery to the unit. Things like these are very difficult to repair, unless you have the skills and the tools. If you cant get it to work by just fiddling with it for a little while, you should consider replacement.
