Question
This is the second year in a row where my zone 1 valve is stuck open.  When I go to zone two the pressure drops on zone 1 while the other zone kicks in for a couple seconds then zone 1 goes back on.  Seems like zone 1 is stuck open.  I replaced the valve last year and it worked fine all season, this year the same think is happening.  Before I replaced the valve again is there something I can do different?  I tried to flush it out by taking the solenoid off and opening the bleader valve.  Also replaced the solenoid and that did nothing.  Do you think my problem is with the valve or do I have other issues?   Thanks for your expertiese!!

First, make sure that the valve is adjusted properly.  Open the flow control all the way, then close it all the way. counting the turns, then open it back up halfway. If this doesnt work, then you may have a wiring problem, or a problem with the controller.  Try moving the wire for station 1 to another terminal on your controller, preferrably an unused one.  Also check the wire connections both at the controller and at the valve.
