QuestionHi...I have a rain bird irrigation system I have noticed that two of my 8 zones are connected together. When zone 5 is on it works by itself, but when zone 6 is on zone 5 is turned on with it. I am trying to seperate them to improve the pressure for zone 6, but not sure where to start from.
Thanks for your help.

AnswerThanks for the question.
From your description this isn't an intended program. The only way two valves can be made to operate at the same time is if they are wired to the same terminal. Or wired together in the field. Since zone 5 operates independently and this only happens when zone 6 is on, I think you have a valve problem.
I would suggest finding the #5 valve and tightening the solenoid and the manual bleed knob. I think #5 is actually not closing properly, making it appear it is turned on.
If this doesn't cure the problem, reply back for further help.
