Question
I have a Richdel 446 controller at my residence on a six zone irrigation system.  Tried to start in manual mode for first time after winter and display status shows zone "on", but no response from irrigation system. All six shutoff valves are fully open, controller wiring looks ok and intact, and new 9V battery installed.  Any ideas

Perhaps is the main shutoff still closed?  If not you may want to check to see if the controller power output is at 24V AC.  Also check the control wire to make sure it has a good connection both at the controller and the first valve.  Its sometimes good to redo the electrical connections once in a while.
