We recently moved into a home that has the irrigation system fed from the lake. We have no idea how to winterize this system. We have always had the city water irrigation system and had it professionally winterized. I don't think it should be too hard to do it ourselves, please advise! Thanks

I assume you live in a cold winter area.  First, turn off the controller.  Then turn off all the valves that supply water to the system.  You need to isolate the pump, and drain the water out of the pump.  There should be a drain plug on the pump.  Then you can manually open the irrigation valves, to let water drain out of the system.
