i have a 2" pipe in the crawl space connecting to a Y on a 4" pipe. this takes the water into the sewer. it is cracked at the seam going into the y. can i pour some kind of glue around it to seal it up? it leaks water and omits sewer gas. thanks, ken.

There is an epoxy putty that I have used for such situations before.  You need to make sure that the pipe is clean and dry, and then apply the putty to the crack.  There are also epoxy tapes that may work as well.  I have also used muffler repair kits for this.
