Question
I noticed that a blue wire is hanging off of the main board and I do not know where this lines up.  I also am not sure you can help pending not being fimiliar with my specific system.

If all of your sprinklers are working properly, then the blue wire may have been an extra that was not moved out of the way.  You may want to try hooking the blue wire up to one of the stations on the valve to see if anything happens when you turn it on.
