QuestionHi,
I have a six section sprinkler system, and I have 8 valves.
It has worked this spring, and I installed a new timer box and
it still worked, until recently the third section quit working. I checked the irrigation box, and was able to single out the valves for sections 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 has two valves but there are three more valves, when turn one on, it
gushes out a relief pipe, and the other two have one of the two wires are disconnected. I have Watermaster valves. Any help would be appreciated.
AnswerI would start by checking and perhaps redoing all of the wiring connections, both at the controller and at the valves. Both of the wires at the valves have to be connected to the two wires coming out of the solenoid. Its best to use waterproof connectors (wire nuts) for the connections at the valve. Also, most of the homeowner controllers will only work with 2 valves at the most connected to one station. So you may have to redistribute the valve connections at the controller to even this out.
