Questionthe water pressure on our sprinkler is not as strong, but still doing the job. one head pops up,(on and off) and the other was finally unburied. both of these were in the same zone. contractor who put the system in 20 months ago, says the well is not producing enough power in the irrigation system and we will need a new well. the well was here when we moved in 10 yrs ago, not sure if it was used then, but we did not use it until 20 mos. ago. is it low on water because of lack of rain here ib SE virginia, or is it really neccessary to drill for another well? I just don't know who to trust! thanks for your help!
AnswerEd,
sounds like you don't want to spend the well money, also sounds like you don't trust the well guy either. You can always get a second opinion on the well- but I bet it's the same as the first guy. Oh, I'm sorry the contractor who put the sprinkler system in is the guy who told you you need a new well. Well, get a well guy out there and see what he says. If the system worked 20 months ago the well should not have gone dry, but the water table is low all over the country right now. Without physically looking at the system and the well I can only tell you to see what the well people say. Might just be a mechanical problem. Let me know. Jim
