QuestionI just bought a home this last week that has a Tor EL-6+ and have followed the instructions to a tee to automate the sprinkler system. Nothing happens. I can manually run them so I know it works. the timer keeps accurate time and the day stays on the correct day, but when the time comes that I have selected to start the sprinlers.. nothing happens. Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciate. i am high and Dry in Michigan
AnswerJohnny, Unless there is an irrigation junkyard around you are probably looking at buying a new clock. It sounds like the microswitch that is supposed to open up when the hour wheel comes around is bad. It is possible that the pin that you are pushing in for the start time is worn and you can try just pushing all the start time pins in and see if it ever comes on. Toro stopped making that clock many years ago and I doubt if you can get parts for it. They still might have some switches from other clocks that are the same and might match up. If you want toopen it up and look at the swicth you see what I mean because the hour wheel pins spin and are supposed to push on the switch. Jim
