QuestionThe sprinklers were already installed when I purchased my house. In my backyard there is a series of 4 electronic controlled water valves. When I manually open valves 1 & 3, water flows to the sprinklers and the sprinklers water the planter or grass. When I manually open valves 2 & 4 the water trickles out and will not water the garden. I did remove some of the heads on each line and attempted to clean the sprinkler head and line without any success.
These worked at one time. the sprinklers were inadvertently shut off for a month or so. I am at a loss to explain and figure this out.
What questions am I not asking myself and where should I be looking to fix this?
Answerdavid,
Could be several things. Do the valves have a knob on top that controls flow, it may be shut part way. Leaks on 2 and 4. is there any thing that you did that may have cut a pipe? Did you plant something that may have cut a pipe. When you turn 2 or 4 on check and see if you can hear water running some where, compare it to 1 and 3 and see if it sounds likewater is moving a lot or not moving . you will need a good ear, but it will tell you if it is a leak(s) or restriction.
