QuestionI live in North Florida and the ground is very soft and sandy. The water table is about 16-20 feet down and I am considering doing a shallow well to maybe a depth of 40 feet or so for a lawn sprinkler system. I am wondering how to go about doing this? I can use a hose for "drilling" thru the sand but am unsure what all this entails. Is there a step by step out there that would explain the drilling using water from a hose, screen, the pump hookups (in and out), etc. thanks in advance
Answer Jim,
I would not attempt to drill my own well and I can't advise you to do so. I am sorry, but O recommend you get a pump company out to look at it. There are too many variables that I can't see on a computer. Maybe the pump company can start it and you finish it. Jim
