QuestionHi - my contractor installed a zone with bubbler heads in some
raised garden beds he built for us. I changed out the bubblers to
8-way heads & put in 1/4" line to pressure compensating
drippers on my veggies. Problem is that now the irrigation valve
3/4" doesnt shut off all the way. I get a sort of constant seep
from the anti-siphon & the drip heads when its off. Oh - the
valve is a Rainbird APAS, about 3 weeks old. I did dissasemble &
clean as recommended but no change. Wonding if its somehting
more to do with pressure?
thanks
AnswerJamie,
It's not the pressure it's the flow. You must have redu8ced the flow to such a point that the difference between on and off is too small for that valve to close all the way. You need a low flow flow valve and if you need I can look up what will work for that low of a flow. If your contracter can't figure it out. Tell him waht you did and get back to me if you need to.
