Question
I am wraping my drain pipe with slots in fabric and have noticed cheep slick roles at the building supply and the big roll i have ( ten feet wide ) is a much heavier fuzzier fabric. will the cheep slick fabric let water through as well as the fuzzy stuff in the big commercial roll.

Chances are the cheap stuff is weed barrier and not designed for covering your pipe. However they sell a "sock" fabric that is designed just for pipe. see this site.

check your local home and garden store for this type of product. Its heard to roll on more than 50 feet so cut it into 50 lengths or less before trying to get it over your pipe.
