QuestionI have a backyard that the lawn is dead (there is a watering system in place and have not used it in over a year), and I also have 2 dogs that are constantly out there wrestling and chasing each other around (and bringing lots of dirt and dust into the house). I want to have something down besides dirt...even crabgrass sounds better than dirt..what can I do? is there a really hardy grass to use? I would like it to be attractive and water-wise as well. Any suggestions will be muchly appreciated!! Thanks ,
desperate in dirt...
AnswerHello Kathleen
Try this grass http://www.google.com/search?hl=it&q=grass+cynodon+dactylon&btnG=Cerca&lr=
it's known as 'dog grass' and it's very tough but allow to establish during the winter first... before letting the dogs on it - otherwise it'll ruin!!
Good luck
