Question Why is it that almost ALL waterhose connections leak? They leak at the faucet, they leak where two hoses connect and they leak at the nozzle. Good grief, this is the year 2008.
Can anything be done to stop these leaks? Thank you.
AnswerHey, Ray.
It is amazing that this is 2008 and we can't stop those leaks. They were leaking 43 years ago when I was a youth of 10 in Kingsville, Texas, and they still leak today.
However, I have noticed that the most serious leaks result because the washer is not in place. It's almost impossible to find a hose or nozzle at Home Depot that still has the washer with it. When people lose their own washers at home, they simply stop at Home Depot and steal the one in the hose since it just sits there nonchalantly saying, "Please take me home."
Other than making sure that washer is there, I haven't found anything else that works except doing away with hoses and nozzles altogether and going to an automatic watering system, and washing the car at the automatic car wash.
