QuestionI have a potted rubber plant that has outgrown its pot. I would like to know if I should repot or can I plant the 8 foot tall rubber plant outside. What location would be best, if in the ground?
AnswerHey, Cynthia.
The rubber plant has always been one of my favorites because they are very adaptable to many conditions. They grow well indoors and outdoors, bright sun or heavy shade, in a pot or outside, watered well or stuck in a drought.
Just make sure that you water well until it gets established. It might lose some lower leaves; they will turn yellow and fall off. That's okay. If they turn yellow/brown and mushy, or the lower stems turn mushy, then you're overwatering.
