QuestionI have heard from someone that there is a Japanese Moss that can tolerate near drought conditions but handle the temperature range of New England. I have very sandy soil, and DIRECT sun, that cooks my yard. We are in Connecticut, zone 5a or 5b. Can you tell me the name of the moss, if it would truly survive in my zone, and some ideas on where to get it?
Thank you.

AnswerHi Amy,
Moss can not tolerate too much sun.
Moss would survive in almost any temperature, but, if you really want to grow it, you should provide it with some shade and good humidity.
Sandy soil would be no problem.
Depending on where you are in CT., I could come and take a look at your place (I'm in Westchester).
Let me know
