QuestionI just had a 500 sq ft patio put it with Arbel Stone. It's beautiful. It is also curvey. I have it surrounded by 3 good sized berms (planting small trees, large bushes for privacy) and also there is a 8ft bench that surrounds the patio. Between these items (berms, and bench) and the patio border is about 3 feet of space. Dont want grass to grow - be difficult to mow, dont want mulch - it'sll be messy and blow onto patio. The only thing that comes to mind is small colored gravel i have seen people use instead of mulch. If money was no object, what do you think you would do? Would it help if I sent a picture of the area? I want something that wont need much maintenence. I woujld love to hear some suggestions. Thank you very very much!!
AnswerHi Sandy,
You could either use gravel or some beach pebbles.
You could also use some rocks placed in a way that would look like outcrops coming from the berms. You could make them look like part of some stream following the curves of the patio. Send me pictures and I will be able to help you better.
