I want to transplant some of my friends Ivy to my property.  I have 4 questions on the subject:

1.  When is the best time of year to transplant?

2.  Are there any "tricks" to being succesful in transplanting?

3.  What is the actual procedure of transplanting the Ivy?

4.  Can Ivy grow in direct sunlight?

The answer to all four of your questions would depend on the type of ivy, the difference in soil between his place and your place, and what area (city) of the country you are in.
