QuestionI would like to add on to my existing basket brick patio. When I looked to see how the previous owners had prepared the soil, to mirror their process, they had used what I can best describe as a plastic basket weave mold to keep the spacing between the 16x8 bricks. The "mold" has two large holes where the bricks lay to allow water to run into the soil. What's the proper name for this "mold" and is it better than using the more standard gravel, weed cover, sand then brick method?
