Question
QUESTION: I am in the process of building a brick patio roughly 25 x 25.  I am to the point to where I have the sand in but now am wondering the best (easiest) way to level or skreed it so that all the sand is of the same depth.  Any tips?

ANSWER: I use rebar pieces and screed over with screed board or 2x4.

QUESTION: I guess I'm not sure what you mean by you use rebar pieces.  How?

If you lay the rebar down in the sand and use the screed board to go over the rebar, this way you can make sure the the sand is level. After you are done with the rebar, remove and cover over with sand using a trowel.  you should only need about 2 inches of sand.
