Question
I had 30 emerald green arbovitaes planted the end of May. I am watering them 2 times a day. After the 2nd week they started to get some brown leaves in some spots. I am also using liquid Miracle Grow every 7 days as recommended (2 applications so far). Am I doing something wrong,am I over watering them? The landscaper planted them in peat moss and Miracle Grow topsoil and also placed mulch around them.
Help ! I don't want to lose 30 emerald greens !!

Hi Sue,

I would hold off on the liquid miracle grow for a little bit.  If the ladscaper planted them in Miracle grow soil, it has nutrients in the soil already, you might be over fertilizing?  Were the arbs. in pots or burlaped? If burlaped, check to see if your landscaper unwrapped the burlap from the trunk.  How close together are they planted? Are they planted too high or too low?  If you would like please email me pictures of the area, so I can help you further.
