QuestionCan ivy be cut back to the ground on a steep hillside? Our ivy has lots of woody stems adn brown leaves. We want it to grow nicely in the spring. Can the ivy be cut to the ground?Will the roots prevent the hill from eroding?
AnswerThank you for your e-mail. Yes you can cut it down to the ground level. You can use a weed eater or any type of hedge cutters, as long as your not digging it up you slope will stay intact. You'll be fine and it should grow back in pretty nice. Good luck Bill
