QuestionI'm located in Central Mississippi. I currently have centipede grass and would like to lay St.Augustine down.
My question is can i cut the centipede down pretty much to the ground, come in with about 1 to 2 inches of sand then lay the St. Augustine on top of that and be ok? Any help you can give will be appreciated.
Thank You,
Ken
AnswerThank you for your e-mail. The best thing to do would rent a sod remover. They are very easy to use and not that much money to rent. It works pretty much like a lawn mower, and it take all the old grass up right to to dirt. Then you can add some organic material to the dirt and then your ready to re-sod. Good luck and thanks Bill
