QuestionHi There,
I would like to know how many people (labor) will be able to put Sod on 3.5 acres of land and how many days this whole process will take. The purpose is to get the place ready as early as possible so paying more people is not a problem in my project.
Please help.
Thanks

AnswerThank you for your email. I guess the first place to start is, how much time to you have to complete the job? It is 504 pallot of sod. Thats a lot of sod. It is kind of hard to say. It depends on how experienced the guys you have are. And how well they will lay it. Also you may want to check with your sod supplier they may not have that much ready and available for you. If you are limited on time you should get as many people as you possibly can, and with sod laying skills if you can. It will make the job go faster and you won't have to worry about it being layed wrong. Here is a scale you can use to figure out your time and amount of workers.
?Beginner - Single Homeowner: 45 to 60 yards per hour
?Intermediate - Crew of Two: 100 to 150 yards per hour
?Advanced - Expert Crew of Two: 200 yards per hour
Sorry if I didn't help much but I would need to know a little more detail. Good luck with your sod job. Any other questions please feel free to ask. Bill
