   Are there any health issues in burning old R.R. ties?  

Answer
For one I thing, by asking the question you probably already know its not a good idea. RR ties are full or creosote (sp?)
Burning this chemical will result in toxic fumes. I wouldn't do it.
There are usually special dumps that accpet these materials as they require special treatment and they charge extra.

Sorry but their is no easy way to dispose of RR ties.
