QuestionWe are a law firm in need of an expert in recreational park design. Our client is an elderly lady who fell into a hole built for pole vauling. The hole is located in the middle of a running track. The track surrounds a high school football field from where people watch the games. This occurred last October so that leaves covered the hole hiding it from view. I would appreciate any input you have in connection with acting as an expert or whether you know someone who is such an expert.
Thank you,

AnswerMr. Fox:
I have worked for several firms in the past that provide "Expert Witness" services. As you are located in the Chicago Area, I would suggest two sources for locating such a firm:
1.) American Society of Landscape Architects -Illinois Chapter (ILASLA):
http://www.il-asla.org/
Their membership directory is 22 pages long, so you should be able to get one in the Chicago area...and,
2.) The Great Lakes Council of the National Recreation & Parks Association (NRPA):
http://www.nrpa.org/content/default.aspx?documentId=2363
Either of these professional organizations should be able to direct you to competent expert witnesses in your area.

Marc
