QuestionI have a recirculating fountain in my garden that has a solar powered pump, so it doesn't pump all the time. As a result, sometimes the water stands, and I've found what I believe to be mosquito larvae in it. Any suggestions on what to put in the water to prevent this?
thanks,
carl
AnswerHi there!
If you have any water plants in your fountain you could use something called tanin. It is a natural product used in processing leather. That would not ruin your plants.
If not; you could use chlorine or regular salt.
Good luck!
