QuestionWhat is the best type of gravel, available in the midweatern U.S., to use in a Japanese garden that can be raked into typical Japanese garden designs?
AnswerHi there!
You could use anything that is whytish/gray/black speckled.
In Japan they use crushed granite that has similar color.
The best size for raking is somthing that would be from the
size of a grain of barley to a small pea (combined).
Good luck with your project!
