QuestionWe have some large pine trees in our garden just off of the terrace which faces west and I would lke to plant medium height spreading junipers on the west side of the pines. Will the junipers grow next to the pines and what type of juniper would you recommend? Our climate is quite hot and dry and things can grow year round.
AnswerCarole,
You didn't give me your zone but
go to www.google.com and type in " spreading Junipers for zone?" whatever your zone is in the search box.I would plant them about 2 to 3 feet in front of the pines and about 3 feet apart from each other if get a freely spreading type. Hope this is helpful to you.
