someone gave us a palermo tree? . do you know anything about it or where i could find info about it ? thank you

I don't know of a tree with that common name...maybe the Palmetto Tree (Sabal Palm) of Florida/South America?  Does it look like a spikey fan-palm tree?  

Or, is it a tree from Palermo, Italy?  Still,  nothing about such a tree in my resources. Sorry.
