Question
I am planning on planting a Mayten tree about 4 to 5 five from my swimming pool. I have been trying to find out if the roots will destroy the gunit or the surrounding concrete, but with no luck. Do you know anything about the root habits of the Mayten? Thank you for your time.

In all honesty,I have never heard of the Mayten tree. You may live in a warmer climate than I do. If I were you I would go straight to www.google.com and type in the words "Mayten tree" and run a direct search on it.Then you can find growth rates in that research. You should have no problem finding out everything you want to know about it.
