QuestionHi Mark. I have three bougainvilla plants around my house and have a very difficult time getting them to bloom very much. two are planted in the ground and one is in a pot. All are medium - large, about seven feet tall. I fertilize with 15-30-15 every 3 months.
I live in the tampa bay area and see these plant blooming virtually all year long. Mine look healthy, lots of green foliage but almost no flowers except in the spring when i get a little flowering.
Is there another fertilizer I should be using? Maybe it's the way I prune them. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks.
AnswerMike,
Sorry. I'm a little too far north to have any experience with Bougainvilla. It's a roll of the dice if it survives here, so I never plant it.
The best I've got is a link to a discussion of Bougainvilla problems:

Maybe you'll recognize a solution in that discussion.
