QuestionI live in region 5. I would like to plant some ground covering in a bed I have outside my house. It presently has 2 hydrangea plants and a few orchids. It is mostly sunny area. I am looking for a ground covering that can handle the sun, is flowering, and will no kill the plants I have there presently.
AnswerKim,
I've had some success with Blue Star Creeper (Laurentia fluviatilis).
It provides a mat of little light blue flowers. It will need some water in the hottest part of the summer, and it will die all the way to the ground in the coldest part of winter, but it will be back.
