QuestionDear Gary,
There were bulldozer tracks in the lawn in front of my condo and our maintenance man promised to fix the unsightly problem. I was surprised when I came home to find that he spread about two inches of dirt around the entire front area, not just filling in the tracks. He spread the dirt over the existing grass, seeded it and covered it with hay. It was windy yesterday and I came home to find the hay everywhere and the grass underneath showing through. Now the dirt is totally uneven.
What should I do about this mess? Should I complain to the condo association? Is there some sort of justification for what he did or is he just experimenting?
Thanks so much for your help.
Anita
AnswerAnita,
It is common practice to fill-in ruts with soil and re-seed. So from that aspect it is nothing out of the ordinary.
Have the guy come back and re-do it. If the guy is the condo maintenance the association should know.
Good gardening
