QuestionHi Gary,
I want to lay flagstone this spring as our front walkway. I'll need to remove the current concrete sidewalk and create a winding (but short) flagstone walk. My question is about using a wet saw, I've never used one. I want to cut curves...is it extremely difficult? Any tips?
Thanks so much,
John
AnswerJohn,
You are embarking on a great journey. Wet saws are easy to use and work very well. Always wears safety googles and gloves. Cutting curves can be tricky as you need to nibble the edge away with the saw blade. Since you are using flagstone I would be tempted to use a less formal edge and try to make the curve using stone nippers or even a chisel and hammer.
Anyways, good luck
Gary
