QuestionHi Gary,
I do landscape work and am starting to do more drawings for customers. Can you reccommend a good design program for doing drafting type of plans. I do not care about adding pictures or views of the house, which most store programs seem to have. I would like a quality draft style that I can give to clients. I would prefer not to spend over $400 if possible.
Thanks,
Frank
AnswerFrank,
Good programming costs more than $500-600. I have been looking for a good program for my students here at ISU but have not been able to find one that is cost effective.
My suggestion is to contact the various companies out and ask for demo version that have full capabilities. Usually these will cost $25-50 and have a time limit for use, but you can then try them and decide for yourself.
I shy away from recommending particular software packages. I have found that software is a personal thing and one program that someone really likes the next person really hates.
Good luck
Gary
